Enjoy Elk and Deer at Ryan Creek
Drummond/Clinton Montana, Granite County

Elk and Deer Paradise Near Drummond, Montana
The day before rifle season opened there was a beautiful 6 point bull with his harem of 15 cows on this place. It’s rare to not see elk and there’s always mule deer. This property is within a hunting district that is growing some extremely nice bucks. The property has open meadows with scattered tree cover, and it’s 4.5 miles behind a locked gate which makes it quiet, safe, and secure for the wildlife. The property holds several natural funnels the elk travel through between feeding and bedding areas during the fall and the beaten trails prove it. There are also several springs they utilize during the fall, but they can be found on the place year round from calving season all the way through their use of the southern exposures for winter range. In addition, you have a huge advantage in both elevation and distance to hunt the country further beyond the property by driving through the gate that the public can’t. You have sections of additional State Lands, Stimson lumber lands, and Nature Conservancy lands that you can roam farther back in to find “the big one” if you don’t want to wait for him to come to you.
It’s also possible to see bighorn sheep on the place as they use the area from time to time.
Building Sites
There are plenty of beautiful choices of locations to build your hunting or recreational cabin or mountain home. You’ll enjoy awesome views of the Garnet and Sapphire Mountains as well as the Welcome Creek Wilderness area. You’re overlooking the Clark Fork River which is only minutes away for fishing as is the Beavertail Pond Fishing Area. And just a few miles across the Clark Fork River from the property is premier fishing on Montana’s Rock Creek.

Ryan Creek is a year round creek that runs through a portion of the property. You’re also only ¼ mile from a small lake on Ryan Creek that you can use for your water related recreational fun. The lake is on Stimson Lumber land, and you would have it all to yourself as it’s a long distance behind a locked gate with no public motorized access.
All this and you’re still only 45 minutes away from Missoula and even less to the small town of Drummond.
